How To Solve The Problem Of Blind Spots In Rearview Mirrors?

Some careless drivers turn the steering wheel and change lanes when they see that there is no car in the rearview mirror. In fact, sometimes the rear car is hidden in areas that the rearview mirror cannot see. Regardless of the type of car, as long as you are sitting in front or back, there will always be blind spots in the car, and a slight carelessness can easily lead to scratches and accidents. To ensure safe driving of the car, it is recommended to maintain a safe distance from the vehicle as long as you are on the road and refuse to drive parallel.

Sitting in the car, the rearview mirrors on the driver's left and right sides are equivalent to the driver's other pair of eyes, which can observe the movement of vehicles behind and confirm whether the adjacent lane is safe and meets the conditions, allowing for lane changing, turning, and other behaviors. Neglecting and not observing the rearview mirror can pose a particularly serious threat to blind spots. In cases of minor accidents while driving, there may be collisions between vehicles, while in severe cases, rear end collisions can cause damage.

So don't think that having no rearview mirror means safety, and you can change lanes freely. How to solve this blind spot problem in the rearview mirror? There are several methods to pay attention to, which can ensure driving safety. In addition to installing blind spot monitoring systems, there are other methods that can be referred to.

Firstly, ensure that the field of view of the inside rearview mirror is unobstructed. If there are many debris piled up behind the vehicle that seriously hinders the driver's judgment of whether there are obstacles behind the vehicle, and whether there are people or vehicles moving nearby. Accidents are prone to occur when reversing. Due to the height of the vehicle, low objects cannot be seen in the rearview mirrors. Therefore, it is necessary to get off the vehicle and observe the rear of the vehicle before reversing.

Secondly, observe the situation outside the car window. For blind spots in the rearview mirrors on both sides of the car, if the rearview mirrors cannot be seen when changing lanes while driving, you can observe the rearview mirrors more and take a look outside the window glass, effectively solving the blind spots in the rearview mirrors during driving. The rearview mirror cannot be observed from the front of the adjacent lane to the rear of the vehicle.

Thirdly, install a 360 degree panoramic image and install a wide-angle camera outside the vehicle. The high-definition camera captures the scene and seamlessly splices real-time images of the vehicle's surroundings through arithmetic. The camera is projected onto the onboard display screen to help the driver understand the blind spots around the vehicle and directly present the vehicle's position and surrounding conditions. Strength ensures driving safety, especially when reversing.

Fourthly, the best solution is to install blind spot monitoring (also known as lane merging assistance system or lane changing assistance system). 360 degree panoramic imaging is not fast enough to capture images when the vehicle is moving rapidly, while blind spot monitoring can monitor vehicles behind the vehicle in real time. As long as a vehicle appears in the blind spot on the rearview mirror, the driver can clearly see that there is a vehicle behind the vehicle through the flashing signs on the outside rearview mirror, indicating the danger of lane changing.
